Just tuned in to your "The Car Show" program on Sat, Aug 23rd at 9am and could not believe what I heard.  The show was discussing new Dodge SRT, Hellcat both of which are obscene gas guzzlers.  The hosts were boasting about how much fuel the cars burn (the Hellcat can drain it's entire tank in 13 minutes at full speed).  KPFK is proud of a show like this?  A show that encourages waste, excessive use of oil and a massive contribution to global warming?  KPFK doesn't take advertising money but has no problem airing a program like this?  What message are you sending when all your other mid week programs talk about "doing the right thing"?  I won't even get into the fact that Detroit was bailed out by the taxpayers and this is the only reason they can make such wasteful cars such as this.  Your station manager should be fired and you need to understand that your listeners are smart and pick up on things such as this.  I'll be tuning into another station from this point forward and posting this everywhere I can.
